Creating Sustainable Opportunities for Care Leavers in Higher Education

Back in April, we discussed the growing number of local authorities and other institutions, both public and private, to treat time spent in the UK’s care system as a protected characteristic under law. But why is the visibility and recognition of this cohort so important, and what real measures are being introduced by these institutions to ensure care leavers are empowered to reach their full potential in education, the workforce, and wider society?
